A rookie running back Travis Etienne will be sharing the Jacksonville Jaguars' backfield with James Robinson. The exact number of plays that the two-time ACC Player of the Year will receive per game in 2022 is not known. However his Madden 22 rating hasn't been announced by EA. EA has been release ratings of several players in the last couple of days.

Etienne was drafted one slot ahead of rookie Naji Harris, who had Naji Harris' Madden rating 76. They were among the top first-year running backs. They were a step above Javonte Williams (75), Trey Sermon (74) and Michael Carter (73). In regards to Etienne's score, here is what the EA has to say:

Etienne Jr. The back archetype who scored 92 speed as well as an Acceleration rating of 93 going into Madden NFL 22. The 22-year-old isn't easy to spot. He'll be a key player in the Jacksonville backfield with James Robinson, it's clear.

It's a challenge for rookies to obtain an Madden rating above 80, let alone 90. On the other hand, veteran Christian McCaffrey got a 97 overall score. Here's the complete list of the top five running backs of this year's edition of the video game franchise: Derrick Henry (96), Nick Chubb (96), Dalvin Cook (95), Alvin Kamara (94).

If Travis Etienne were selected as the 25th overall draft choice for 2022, it caused a lot of controversy. The fact is, James Robinson was coming off a strong rookie season so a top-of-the-line selection on a running back appeared to be a waste of time. It was, however, a bad pick.

You will always see runningbacks in the cheap Mut 22 coins later rounds. However, the Jags believe they have an extra special player in Etienne. In May, head coach Urban Meyer said the former Tiger could be a "legitimate dual-threat". In rookie minicamp the player was also a wide receiver.
